Code 2563

Started the truck to home come a little bit ago and it had a real bad lope to it when it was cold, got home and scanned it and found code 2563 which is leading me to a turbo position sensor issue, did some quick research and am finding that it's probably sooted up from the EGR valve. I am just out of warranty so there is no issue there so the delete's are going to be ordered this week. Later tonight I am going to disconnect the EGR and take it for a haul on the interstate with the eb on to try and loosten the turbo back up. My question being if anyone has run these things for any length on time with just the EGR unhooked? I know it will give me a cel but will running it like that cause any other issues? It will only be until next weekend I hope to give time for all the delete stuff to get here.

Dont worry about it for just a week. Guys have gone months with it like that.

Give it a good hard run and then delete it.

Took it out for a run and will see what happens, threw it into tow/haul and was impressed when it scratched the tires going into 3rd...never had a stock truck do that before. One thing I noticed is that when I was running over 70 the temp hit 210 to 215...that seemed a little high to me especially running empty, although it is 95 out so maybe that contributed. Now to decide whether I want to do the Blake delete or the stealth delete. One more question for tonight, that being with the EGR disabled if it would be wise to disable the throttle valve and the egr cooling valve i think it's called.

No!

Leave the other two alone until you delete/disable.

210 to 215 is not uncommon is you are running hot and heavy.

Emissions related hardware should be covered by the 5yr 100k mile warranty.

If you like it stock, you'll love it deleted.

Just a quick update, since I unplugged the EGR valve and ran the tar outta the thing it has been running perfectly so I guess it just wanted a good ole romp. Now to find the spineless jackalope who clipped the side of it today......bent the step bar and the bottom of my passenger door....not badly but........

Believe me the only reason I was that calm is I don't want to get into trouble with the hat........I think I know who the jackalope is and if I'm right his future working for me is even shorter than it was earlier today...this person has been walking on very thin ice with one foot on a banana peel
