P1688 Code, P0216 Code

My 1999 Dodge 2500 24 valve 5-speed is showing a P1688 (Internal Fuel Injection Pump Controller Failure) code. I need to know if my Injection pump is dead and need to buy a replacement or if theres just a part i can replace and be good to go? The truck never showed in problems, like never went into limp mode and didn't seam to have a dead pedal, just one day wouldn't start and still won't start. Also my Buddy has a 2001 3500 24valve 6 speed and its showing a P0216 (Injection Timing Control Circuit Malfunction) Code, it has started to run badly but still runs, he needs to know if he to will be looking for a Injection pump, he is also running a TST Powermax3 on it and wanders if that has any thing to do with it. Both trucks have had the Lift Pumps replaced in the last few months. Any help would be great, i just want to make sure thats there nothing else that can be done before i spend so much money on a new Injection Pump.

With the two codes you two have, you should try and get a group buy on VP44s!! You both need new pumps. You both also need to have a fuel pressure guage on each truck too.

Group buys are NOT allowed on DTR as stated in the site rules.

We have no control over the outcome of such things and don't want to be held responsible when one of you guys don't get what you paid for.
