I have recently had a warranty denied on my 2005 3/4 ton, with 82000 miles on it, and just wondering how many other people they've done this too.

Only reason given was no oil receipts for the self oil changes.

I'm sorry I bought a diesel.

If you have to make up some receipts.

Not to get off subject but what went wrong with the engine?

I am no lawyer...this is my understanding.

Under the magnusson moss act, the manufacturer must PROVE what you did or did not do, or the part you installed caused the damage.

Ask about a lawyer. See how they respond. But, be ready to back it up.

not hard to keep receipts for oil and filters. they are only asking that you prove that you maintained the truck. it is not a matter of the magnusson moss act it is about required maintenance. They can deny warranty and good luck getting a lawyer to get them to budge.

You need to lawyer up and fight them.

Simply having no receipts for an oil change is not sufficient to deny warranty.

IIRC, you had a meltdown, not a bearing failure, correct?

they will attempt to deny warranty claims on vehicles made prior to Chrysler's bankruptcy filing

warranty payments to the dealer on vehicles built pre-bankruptcy and post bankruptcy are vastly different

I got my lift pump denied in warranty on my 06 at 54k miles due to contaiminated fuel so they say. A friend and myself replaced it and dropped the tank and it looked perfect inside the tank and dont know what they were seeing. I think they took my injectors apart and knocked some fuel off of them onto paper and it looked black and thats what they was showing me when I went to talk to the manager. I think they are hurting pretty bad...

They claimed "fuel contamination" on me a few years back when my truck failed to start(and before i was a member here). i asked for a sample of the fuel, he said they didn't save it, ok, where's the fuel filter , he said they didn't save it either, ok, pull a sample from the tank, he said they drained the tank and added fuel to the truck.(yeah i know i'm thinking bulls**t too)
I don't buy new vehicles any longer unless i need a write-off for whatever reason thru the business, look on-line, fix a wreck with a salvage title and go down the road.
