Anyone had pinion or yoke seals denied under 7/70?

Just dropped my truck off for a leaking front pinion seal and transfer case fluid coming thru the output yoke dampener. Service writer tried to say that seals aren't covered under warranty. Pulled up my copy of the warranty and this is what it states...

"Four-Wheel Drive (4X4): transfer case and all
internal parts; transfer case control module and shift
mode motor assembly; axle housing and all internal
parts; axle shafts; axle shaft bearings; drive shafts
assemblies (front and rear); drive shaft center bearings;
universal joints and yokes; disconnect housing assembly;
seals and gaskets for the listed components only."

Unless I'm reading this incorrectly I'm covered other than the $100 deductable. Any thoughts?

I would certainly think it's covered. Sounds like BS to me! I would speak with the service manager or try another dealer.

Yes you are correct... Chrysler hates to honor their warranty.

as I look under my truck and see all the oil and dirt on the front and rear diff's, all along the tranny/transfer case and engine. I think back to what the dealer said, it is normal for these seals to weap fluid. and therfore they wont fix it. I cant beleive that a seal on a truck that is suppose to be safer for the enviroment leaks oil all over the place. maybe that will be the next avenue to persue. I would expext this amount of oil from a 10 year old truck but not a truck a year old. remember quantity not quailty

It's only normal 'cuz it's happining on your truck.
If it was his, it would be considered abnormal and would be covered under warranty......

Thats ALWAYS been covered under 7/70.No its not normal to leak/weep or seep.The last three I had were dry or needed a seal! Service Advisor is WRONG.Nicely talk to the Service Manager.He needs to tune his boy up.

All the GM's I've owned did this. They always said it was normal for it to " sweat". (Gag me!)

Got the truck back already and the service writer admitted he was wrong. They took care of it in just a few hours. BUT, they didn't do the power steering hose TSB for some reason and even though I showed him on the TSB that it was reimburseable under warranty he said that they don't do TSB's under warranty only recalls, and that I would have to pay to have it done. Right up to that point they had almost won a customer back but not now. Dealers never cease to amaze me...

The Tsb on the hose is really only 3/36 but if THEY ask their REP he will cover it.My neighbor got his covered at 90k.Its a KNOWN PROBLEM.D.C.will pay for it.The SERVICE MANAGER can also make the decison or ask his rep.You can also call 1800-992-19997 and start the ball rolling.

Mine just got fixed under warranty with no questions. It would be nice if they would clean up the mess it made all over the underside of the truck though.....

Any change in the vibrations with the truck? I have a leaking yoke on the rear drivehshaft and would like to get it fixed but I don't have the 70 mph vibe and don't want to get it!

Thanks Guys

Just an update. Got the truck back and while I was underneath it swapping the pyro probes around, you guessed it, front pinion leaking AGAIN with only 40 miles on it. Going back in next friday for another new seal, and a new yoke this time.
