Question Squeaking sound while clutch is engaged.

So today while I was driving into the truck wash I could hear a squeaking sound. I dismissed it as mud in the wheels. But after I cleaned the truck(very thoroughly) I could still hear it. When I press in on the clutch pedal it stops. I can only hear it in 2nd due to the fact the truck gets too loud in the other gears. Anyone know what this could possibly be? Or what this is a symptom of?
I plan on putting in a SBC by November(if it lasts that long).
Thanks in advance.

Was it just while driving, or while sitting still and the clutch pedal out in neutral? Mine started squeaking while driving, and it was U-joint induced squeaking.

Yes it is only while driving at a low speed. Sitting and in neutral there is no squeaking.

Could be U-joints then, one of mine seized up shortly after the squeaking started.

I noticed last night that it only squeakes when I let of the throttle while in gear. No squeaking while giving it fuel.

You'll have to excuse my ignorance but I'am still learning here. To check my u-joints do i just try to check them for play somehow? Can this be done by hand?
Thanks.
