Squeaking sound while turning ?

I have around 70,000 miles on the OD on my 2004.I had the u-joints replaced at 30,000 miles with the spicer greasable ones. When I turn the steering wheel I get a slight squeaking sound, could this be front ball joints or u-joints?Thanks,coobie

What u-joints did you replace? Front axle?

I recently had a similar noise and I had a front axle u-joint bad. I also change my ball joints out as they also were over due. No sqeak now...

The front axle ujoint if they are stock you can tell by the rust that will be coming out of the joint. Jack the front end up and use a pry bar to lift on the tire to see if there is paly in the ball joints..

Also be sure to check the tie-rods while you are tearing it apart...

Could be the wear indicators on the brake pads, OR the pads just sometimes drag and squeak depending on use, weather, dirt, and or rust.....

Rear axle u-joints were replaced with greasable spicers at 30,000 miles.
