Prior to installing the SBC, I crawled around the truck and noticed that my transmission had developed a leak. I tore everything apart and figured it was the orange shift tower boot. Well, the part finally arrived today so I was going to install it when I decided to look a little closer. After reviewing the shifter subassy, I noticed the the ATF is only coming from the corner that the transmission breather is located in. Has any one else had this issue? It looks like the breather is pressed into the aluminum shifter plate. I'm pretty sure it's not from me overfilling it b/c it was leaking prior to replacing the clutch. Also, it didn't start happening until after 20k miles, so I doubt the factory overfilled it. Any help is greatly appreciated.
