P0336
Crankshaft Position Sensor Signal

was it after an extended crank session? I recall seeing that one after cranking for a while, it went away after about 15 minutes of driving though.

hmmmm, have you started it a couple times since this first code popped up?

like I said, mine cleared after about 15 minutes and after shutting the truck off and on again once.

It usually takes 4 start and run to full engine temp or close before the CEL/MIL will go out if the reason for initial code is no longer present. Just starting and turning off does not qualify as start and run to temp.

i guess mine was just luck, but it was up to full temp before I got back to the house and shut her down. about 5 minutes later I started it back up and the code was gone.

so yes, definately run it for a bit before shutting it down.

If you continue to have this problem you might need to just go on and replace the crank sensor, I have people come into the dealership all the time with this problem and after I believe the cost is around $160-200 sensor the problem is gone. Unfortunately this seems to be somewhat of a common problem. Hope you can get it figured. Good luck
