oil pressure guage

oil pressure guage
my oil pressure guage has been acting up lately. some times with the key on and the engine not running it reads 40 psi now it quits working for a few seconds every once in a while when im driving but it is starting to do it more frequently now. is the sending unit going bad?

Most of the time this is what happens when your sending unit is acting up! They are cheap and easy to change.

what does a new sending unit cost?

can I get one at NAPA or do i need to go to Cummins to get one?

Aftermarket ones from NAPA and the like dont last - save some $ and get a good one from Cummins.
