Who's going for the Record??
Has anyone tried a 24v head on with our pumps? My cuz did a P-7100 with a polished 24v and we got to talking about a VE 24v...I have never heard anyone talk about it. Anyone tried it? Anyone thinking about it?
This is way off topic, but I seem to recall reading somewhere that a 24V head flows better than a 12V. And not just because of the extra valves!
Something like the ports are better machined/bigger/whatever. Could you run one on a 12V? I guess you could, I think it'd bolt right up. I've been thinking about taking the one on my 98.5 off and putting it on my 93 if/when it dies and I raid it for parts.

but i think ported 12v heads flow as well as a ported 24v head so it depends on what youre doing. id rather have a ported 12v head than a stock 24v.
If you run a 24v head, you need the pistons too. The injector pop-off can be lowered.
Also remember that you are going to need 2x as many valves, springs, etc. Plus the bridges, rockers, push rods. They are $$pendy. Plus unless you get a new cam, your going to be losing there too.

Someone once mentioned that there are 24V VE CTD's in existence. I believe he said it was a stationary generator for a building. So, a CPL for parts is around somewhere.

Did anyone see that full aluminum head in the diesel power mag? looked cool and made me think, but not sure its worth the price as you could get much more power by putting that money elsewhere.
