Who's going for the Record??
Stomp's 680 rwhp was in 2005. Who's gonna kill it? [guitar]
I know I'm gunning for it, albeit with 3 stages of spray. |
At 208hp I have some work to do!! Taking the parking brake off should be good for another 200hp or so, right??
|
I would love to go for it but i dont want to compromise my reliability by putting the 14mm head and such on. maybe if i get a new 1stgen i can seriously go for it. but for now i think im at my limit:(
|
lol i wish. id love to make 1/2 of that without going bankrupt.

Not that I'm an expert on this, but I'm assuming its trying to attain the last half of the 680HP wants that'll cost the most!
If you copy their setups from the start, it shouldnt cost that much money... Their setups arent under tight lock and key, its the little things that make the big power. 62/71 s300, s475(ish), Buddha power 6x16s, 14mm head, a-1000 with boost referenced fuel pressure with the front seal glued in the pump, dual feed (because the vane pump cant keep up), ported head, and all the supporting mods to keep the head down. All the rest is tuning... Which has also been gone over countless times on all of the forums. I think there is lots of airflow to be had just from a simple bowl blend and nice grind job on the valves and seats... Personally, I cant afford a lot of the stuff on that list right now, but i have a pretty much smoke free 350+ hp... Im sure given the time and money I could make at least 600 on fuel... 500 with the 12 mm head... |

I'll have to check, I thought it was a 3-angle...you'd be surprised at how well that gassers stuff works on diesels sometimes. Heck, Banks still runs a non-lockup converter in their drag truck.

give me a couple years, and hopefully I'll get over 600. I got a few ideas and tricks up my sleeve[coffee]

I can't afford to play in that league.
