Dodge W300...383/400 with an auto tranny, divorced transfer case, and the frame, suspension and drive line looked brand new! He was asking $20K for it. it was screaming for a 12V cummins to me though.

Well, it's already got it's Reverse Rotation steering in it, so ..... it looks like a keeper...

Auto tranny would have to go, though.... The hole in the floor tells me that the guy castrated his stick, and it sure looks like it's mad being like Bruce Jenner... and it wants it back !!

That two tone Nomad in the back looks interesting.

Write up coming soon. I am going to button up the seat belts tonight.

Yes, it is small but it is for small kids. If I ever get the chance to buy an adjustable seat rack or seat base for the passenger side, the passenger side of the bench seat will have much more room.

That said, I tilted the bottom part and put it partially under the back. This gave a few more inches.

Dana 70 Closed Knuckle Front Axle.

Yellow Sea 255/100 R16 tires.

very nice, wonder why he lost interest?

Possibly more fun to look at than drive. Not saying it isn't fun to drive, I'm sure it is a very tactile rig to terrorize the town in, but maybe not someone's first choice of being a DD long haul workhorse. I agree it needs the NP435 back at least, cummins wouldn't hurt either. Looks like a beefy frame. Strange how the steering gear is behind the axle. Maybe all swepty era trucks were like that. I know the 2wd versions were the same in front with leaf springs but just a solid front non driven axle. (easy for 4x4 swaps)

Dig the divorced case. My '87 F350 has over 3K miles with a divorced np205 and a cummins.

Searched for two months for build thread for a back seat. Looks like we were on the same page.

I did not do anything to my truck today. But I did drive it to the lumber yard to get wood to make a bench. Now I have a place to sit when Iam working on it or cleaning it. Name: image.jpg1_zpsffsxlhc0.jpg

Replaced the d/s door window seals. The scraper seals from fair child are slightly off and took some work to make fit right.

I bought a set of Fair Child window seals once, and tossed them in the garbage...they were absolute junk! They used plain metal for the clips to hold the seals to the door, instead of the spring steel.

finally installed my pieced together piston pump kit.

Cummins Fuel Transfer Pump Part 3936320 4988751 4944714 3933256 | eBay

this is the pump I bought. it was running 19 psi when I installed it so I went to fastenal and bought a 7/8" x .080" wire spring. this spring was slightly shorter than the stock spring but noticeably weaker. installed this spring it ran 11 psi at idle. so I took it out and stretched it to the length of the original spring, now it idles ~15 psi, 1800-2000 rpm cruising ~16 psi (5-6 psi boost), and a WOT pull with 30 psi boost will suck it down to ~13 psi.

cumminspartsdirect.com had all the other parts for the swap.
fuel line - 3914753
spacer - 3914284
(2) banjo washers - 3918191
and the pump comes with 2 gaskets for the spacer/block mounting.

all in all it cost me about $145. seems to have a little better throttle response and seems to fuel/build boost quicker. only have about 100 miles on it so far.

and then this morning, on way to work, truck started just falling on its face cruising down the road. connector at the FSS was sloppy, crimped on a new one and away I went!
