T-Man....The bed will just stay painted...whenever that finally happens...
when I stripped my new bed down to bare metal and primed it I didn't touch the inside of the bed. it's still scratched up white. I have no clue what i'm going to finish it in, i just know i'm not about to prep/prime/paint it like the rest of the truck just for it to get banged up after a week of throwing shyte in the back.

if i had a reputable, trustworthy line-x shop around, i would probably consider it. but just too many variables in that equation.

I'm probably just going to brush on some tremclad/rustoleum in the bed of the truck. Durable, and easy to touch up when it gets scratched up from use.

That and a rubber mat would work.

You know, homey dopey has a product in their paint aisle where it's for "truck bed liner" in a can.

I've used the stuff on a bunch of different things, such as my floorboards under my floor mats in the truck and a few other high traffic areas. Very durable.

They make it in other forms than a spray bomb as well.

Thanks Tc, it's still a work in progress, but aren't they all?

I usually have a sheet of 3/8-3/4 plywood in the bottom. Used to run 3/4 rubber mat, but once it got water logged it's a friggin bear to move out of the bed.

I had to get some new "winter only" skins for the doodge. I want to make sure I don't run into any fire hydrants this year..

Out with the old
On with the skinny snows
Can't wait till it's cold
So I can let these roll..

Can't use them till it's 50*F out or lower, as they'll wear out in a jiffy.

Directional tread to boot ! Like I'm driving a corvette

T-man, I ran those same tires studded on the back of my '95 last winter.
They worked well in mixed driving, even some pulling my 10,000 trailer in snow.
I think you'll like them.

dieselJon that bench seat looks really good, but I am assuming there is not much leg room for the rear passengers. It would make a great place for a dog to ride along though!

I was able to easily change my license plate bracket to a flip-up orientation by simply widening the original license plate holes in the bumper. Viola!

I also mounted a toolbox, temporarily, in the bed. Leaving Wednesday morning, destined for Payson, AZ to bring home a 1987 (?) StarCraft 28ft. pontoon boat.

With the stacks and toolbox, I still have 8'3" to the tailgate. How many can say that?!

Me too.

That bench seat looks great, except you'd have to have no legs, and be very small to fit there. I like the dog bed idea. Might make up a steel frame of sorts, have it covered with a "flip lid" and make my dogs even more spoiled than they already are.

I spent the day selling at a local old car swap meet...one of the last of the year for this area. Also brought my 48 Desoto down to sell as well.

Loaded up and ready to go yesterday evening. My friend, and neighbor went down too with some GM stuff...(That's his 63 Impala) We were down at the swap meet for 6am this morning.

This was the first swap meet I've ever sold at and I sold a lot of stuff! Not many "Mopar only" guys at most swap meets.
