it's worse when you have so much time invested in something (ie. body work) or the amount of work you have in that bumper.
Like an F3 green? I have always liked those colors.

Yep, f3 green, I didn't say that initially because I figured I was the only one nerdy enough to have gone and looked up the paint code. It's ppg 2023 too, lol.

Oh I'm one of those mopar guys who can read all the options from the fender tag...C16, D21 etc. Plus all the other facts, figures and numbers pertaining to a host of Mopar products. Way too much of that stuff cluttering up my old noodle.

Check out Ofelas truck here at DTR.

You would be surprised the amount of nerdy Mopar guys lurk around here.

Ofelas, painted it sublime green with black out stripes down the hood and a rump stripe on the rear of the bed.

He went some of the Stowe car show with me a few weeks ago in it.

yep, i know chip and his truck well.

while I LOVE the bright mopar colors (sublime/panther pink/orange/plum crazy) I just can't see painting my daily driver one of those colors. now if I was doing a 1970 cuda, it would be a different story.

here is my inspiration for the paint scheme (car ****)

I love the Mopars colors enough, my daughters room is Plum Crazy, mine is Sassy Grass green and the bathroom is Go Man-Go, orange.
The bathroom is complete down to the bathroom mirror being off a driver side door of a '90 Cummins truck.
The colors are as close as we could come to using the hardware stores colors.
My daughter and I where taking paint "chips" from the paint store and matching them up to old Mopars.

I hate to paint, so it was the best way to make it fun - beer and high impact colors!
You should see the look on peoples faces [girls in particular] when they check out the colors.

When it is only a die hard Mopar guy and his Dodge loving 12 year old daughter making the color choices, LOOK OUT!

My daughter picked out the Plum Crazy paint color long before she had her own room.

My fellow Dodge freak friend in Alaska painted his bathroom orange after he saw how awesome mine came out.
He is another Dodge loving Dad and daughter combo, no old lady.

Hey finding out your husband painted the bathroom Mopar orange is way better than finding out he has a few Ashley Madison accounts.

They can mix up crazy colors right in front of your eyes now at most any hardware store.

I am back in the shop this afternoon working on my '91.0.
I am turning out the smoke screw some more, and swapped in better seat belts that are not shredded to pieces by a dog. I needed a break from messing with firewood in the heat.

Next I plan on modifying the throttle rod location in board, and backing out the high idle screw to get a few hundred more RPMs out of the old girl.

oliver, I see you are using the PTO plate trans coolers. do you have a temp gauge on your get rags? if so, what kind of difference have you seen with the coolers? was just looking at them on geno's and wondering how necessary/effective they are. I don't do much towing. 6K trailer occasionally, flat florida roads.

I have never done side by side temp comparisons, or do I have any temp gauges on my 5 speeds.
I assume since I do tow in 5 gear in some of my rigs the added cooling would help.
I also tell myself the added heat I am making in the manual transmissions due do my engine mods is being lost out the better cooling PTO coolers.
They are fairly cheap, don't really break and they make the trans and the oil last longer due do some cooling they must do.
The guy I bought them from said he registered about 20*F cooler with the trans coolers on a Getrag in the AZ heat.

well, while they look cool(see what i did there), I can't say 20*F would convince me to spend $240.

They do look "cool", but unless your laying on the ground or looking at my jacked up white crew cab, it is hard to show them off.
I have used those coolers you speak of before several years ago, when they where under $200 for the pair. Those hold and extra qt of fluid as well.

I have just milled out custom aluminum plate coolers on my Getrags.
I was getting them for about $60 a piece with Mopar RTV and new bolts.
Geno's HAD them in stock but I think I bought the last 2 pairs in stock, three months ago.

To me they should last forever as they are not a wear item. I can swap them truck to truck, trans to trans on any of my trucks.
They help the fluid AND the trans last longer by keeping things cool.
It is worth the $120 to me, when I am doing fluid changes or getting the 'rag rebuilt, to add them.

Take your truck for a good ride with some 5th gear usage, then lay under it and put your hand on the G-360 case or PTO cover.
Made me want to chuck those cooler plates on mine.

dammit, you're so convincing. I had talked myself out of buying them and now i'm on the fence again. the extra quart of fluid capacity is a huge bonus.

oh and I don't care if anyone else can see them, i'll smile on the inside every time I crawl under there.
