That's the Tulsa Cummins dealer where I got my barring tool and a new plug for the hole it goes in. Very nice guys there.

Yes they are, but they’re also bad luck at the same time. I pulled into their parking lot to take advantage of a little shade under the tree for a 1/2 hour. The guys came up and said “hey man, we’re about to lock the gates and unless you wanna be stuck in here....”. I thanked them for the notice, started up the truck to move to another shady spot down the road, when I hear a slight exhaust leak. So, I head on down the road (being watchful of the pyro), pop the hood, and I see the gasket blown out on Cylinder #1. Nobody has parts until Sayre OK, so I head in carefully, stop at the local NAPA for some gaskets and find another shady spot, to install them. Oh, and at 3am, my wife calls me to say that her 2014 Ford Escape 1.6 Ecoboost caught on fire at the gas station. They were able to get it out quickly, and she had the car towed to my dads house. So I’m about 1,000 miles away, spinning wrenches, and waiting to hear what the plan in for her car. It’s going to be even more expensive to get out of CA now.

Bummer! Where is your wife and the car? In Riverside or OK? I live in Santa Ana so if you need to use any tools or anything I have here you're welcome to stop by. I'd drive up there but I'm a bit under the weather right now. Nothing contagious though.

My wife and her car or at my dad‘s house in Riverside. He’s got a facial shop and a lot of tools, so I’m going to take a look at the car as soon as I get there. There may be a dealer recall on that car due to possible engine fires on that model up until June 2013 on the production date and her car happens to be built in June. I’m just thankful that my kids were not in the car. Thank you so much for the offer, it really means a lot. It took me three hours but I got a new exhaust gaskets back in the truck and I’m on the road again. Two hours until Amarillo.

Saw this little guy in Holbrook AZ today. Looks like about a 78-79, with a 1st gen bed, 12V and 5 speed. Odd that it still has a Dana 44 up front though. Cool to see another early Dodge with a Cummins swap.

Thanks, so far, so good! I’ve been running this baby HARD and I’m more and more impressed with the Cummins. Now if only I had compound turbos and working AC. It would be nice to run with tinted windows and the AC on full blast. My left arm and left side of my face are sunburnt. Guess i’ll have to get a tan on my right side after I’m done driving and unpacking. And beer, must have beer.

What year did they put the auxiliary fuel door on the box I don't recall ever seeing one

Chased down another intermittent wiring issue that keeps shutting off my alternator. I need to just rebuild all the harnesses. Repairs aren't cutting it.

I finally hit the jackpot at the pick and pull. Scored a matching bucket seats and console, grille inserts, a transmission cooler, door latch, cab lights, the vacuum sensor thing on the fender, and perfect fan shroud. I am trying to decide on a truck bed they have there. It’s $175 and I would rate it 6.5 out of 10.

My truck bed has a massive dent and some rust. If I was in MN still I would already be on my way with a trailer. Now that I am in Texas I can’t decide if I should wait for a nicer one to come along.

Still chasing squeaks and trying to find why it rides so harsh.

Today I pulled the front tires and cleaned and lubed the front suspension, nothing needed here, so I pulled all of the shocks and checked their operation, thought maybe I had a burned out shock again, all checked fine so I cleaned all of the shocks, washed and waxed them so they look nice next time I look under the truck.

I have come to the conclusion that all of the roads and freeways I drive on are horrible, they are all torn up, on the main street through our town, they cut out about 1/2 of the roadway to fix something and refilled the ditch but left it a few incher lower than the roadbed and smooth as a washboard so you have to drive with 2 wheels off the road, my truck shakes violently.
All of the freeways are torn up.

Anyone with a 1991 D-350, how much space is there supposed to be between the axle housing and the bump stop?

I have 2 1/2" inches yet it does not look like the stops have hit the axle tubes, this is without air in my airbags.
I usually have 30-psi in my airbags.

I have probably 800-1000 lbs payload in the back at any time.
Next I am going to charge the airbags with about 150-psi so I can inspect the leaves and replace any isolator pads if necessary.
