It's already happening. Hackers can steal cars very easily by recording the signal that comes from your wireless key fob then playing it back to unlock/start your car. They can also hack in and disable the steering and brakes and control basically everything that's controlled by the computer.

What makes the problem even more serious is the fact that the auto manufacturers don't really take the threat seriously.

If you ask me you can’t beat the most basic vehicles. I hate my grandma’s car with remote start. I would rather turn a key. As much as I love the trucks I’ve ridden in with air conditioned seats, I think I would opt for the bare bones model if I bought a new one.

It still confuses me why I only get those pop-ups when I’m on this site. I’m going to look through all of my apps that are installed (only a few really), and make sure none of them have adware. Some fun this is.

Getting on subject I am currently in the process of replacing the rear output seal on the np205. I would have had everything back together now if I had had a 1 5/16” socket. Hopefully I have time to finish it up Friday night.

If you're using Chrome browser on a PC, there are two extensions you can install from the Chrome web page. One is Adblock Plus and the other is Privacy Badger. With these you can selectively enable or disable cookies and advertisements on a site by site basis. If you're using another browser then I don't have much experience with them. I only use I.E. when it's necessary for certain Micky$loth websites that require it which aren't that many.

Another side effect of having a modern vehicle is data logging which sends your cars operation telemetry to the manufacturer of some vehicles. This data can be used against you in court.

It's bad enough that the NSA tracks our every keystroke on the internet but they know everywhere we've been from our devices.

I don't carry devices very often and when I do it is an old flip phone.

If I carry a device when I travel it is most likely a floor jack, or 10 MM wrench.

Sounds like malarkey to me. You're gonna have to prove it with really cool photos
