Pulled the stock turbo off to change the exhaust housing. Never had removed one of these turbos before so took about 10 minuets. Lol

Have read the benefit will be minuscule but I'm changing out the 21cm housing for a 18cm just because I have it.

Also got the seals in the mail to reseal the vacuum pump as it leaks oil pretty bad so will fix that this weekend.

Boy oh boy, is this site slowly fading away......

Maybe it's because I'm still here, and no one wants to be associated with me....

I've never seen this type of setup before. Seems to be the way I would do it, as I wouldn't want one of those big spinny wired covered gizmo's on the front of my ride all the time.

Seems like something the military would use..

I swapped from an 18 to a 16 and it made the turbo spool much faster. Quicker response... slightly hotter exh temps, which is something you should notice. the 18 will still be on the safe side for the exh temps....

You can hang with me anytime T-man!

I have been loving having the old '91 on the road the past three days. I can drop my daughter off at school in it on Monday. She loves the wistful looks the other kids at school give us as we pull up in some paint peeling, loud, old classic Dodge truck. It makes the rest of the kids getting dropped off in Priuses jealous. The hippy moms just roll their eyes at me and sigh... Okay it makes my day too.

It's not the truck.... it's them there fandango wheels you have on there....

Yesterday, I'm heading to the gym in the brick. I get to a bunch of traffic, where I'm sitting in a line of cars. The car in front of me has the window roll down, and I can see in the mirror its an old lady.... 70's to 80 waving her arm out the window yelling at her mirror... I ignore it.

So she continues to yell at me.... in her mirror. So what do I do ? I pull up closer to her little Piece of junk car, and she goes livid. Now both hands are out the window yelling and waving at me....

I guess these idiots think that a "noisy" truck being close to them is some sort of threat or danger....

So I bumped it closer.. And closer... and closer....

you want to see an old lady rage ????

Stupid old broad. Must be a liberal.....

(oh, I need my safe space)....

Thanks for loading those up T-man!
I needed to pull that old Dodge out of the wet log landing it was sitting on and save it before it sunk away in the ground. The custom winch mount on a plate with some hooks welded on is a cool tool to have and much better than having it permanently mounted to just one location.

You can see in the picture the new lift and 18 inch rim / tire combo. The 4 inch lift springs in the front have settled in to about 2 14 inch so far. It sits about 1/2 inch taller than the rear. I may need to do something, but I am just driving it now and waiting till the front gasser springs settle in some more.

If they don't settle in, then air bag the rear. The truck will ride so much smoother if you lift the weight off those rear springs. Just make sure you have a rear anti roll bar on there, otherwise it gets a little floaty.....

It does have air bags in the rear and they have about 65 PSI in them in that picture. The whole trucks rides much better with the lift springs and the bags aired up more, that the stock flattened out front springs.
I just would like the rear not be sit lower than the front.

Agreed I have been thinking about something like a front mount receiver for the truck and have a winch setup on a "hitch" extension. Then you have both a rear and front winch as needed. Also change between vehicles.

That's what you get for living in Joisey!!

'Course she might have been swatting at a bee. People get pretty worked up when one gets in the car with them.
