What did you do to your Gen 1 today?
Seeing as how southern California is actualy getting rain I bought a new wiper motor for the truck.
The old one would never turn off and the repair chart shows if the wipers don't park the motor is defective.
Also bought two heavy duty relays to replace the lightweight ones in there currently.

Swapped in a fresh plow hydraulic line to replace the blown one in the plow truck and pushed the snow around on Wed. It handled the 10 inches of sloppy wet snow great with the chains on the back. Just as well I got it up and running as it is 0F now and that wet snow is now set up like concrete.
Swapped out my intercooler boots today... Thanks to my good buddy Mr. Ollie.
wrapped them in self vulcanizing silicone tape before to give it the extra protection that 200,000 miles had on them.
The old one had experienced trans fluid drip and was toast.
It was OVAL. I'm not squeezing that boot. That's the way it reshaped itself once it was removed.

Put a Kat's 1155 magnetic heater on my oil pan the other day....works really well combined with the coolant block heater. Motor is nice and toasty when I fire it up now in the freezing weather. Should put another on my tranny as well......
Also received my Podman Products, 4 pod dash unit. Got one for Patches, and another for Sno-Ball.
Really happy with them.

Wow,
That pod looks nice, does it mount to the base with 2 screws like oem did?

Really great for you to offer. Hang on to those, as I'm positive they're worth some $$. Made of Unobtainium or NLA from Chrysler, although there are a few companies that are making them in a different design.
The ones Oliver sent me worked great, and were in really good (albeit dusty) condition. Imagine the nerve of him sending me dusty parts.....
lol

The first pic is the new (used) Oliver boots covered with the silicone tape for further protection.
Again, Oliver saved my Butt. That distorted, oval shaped, oil soaked boot was ready to blow off at any moment. Now it's all fresh and clean and I stopped the ATF leak above it,so I should be good for another 200,000 miles.
Glad to help out T-man.
Sorry about the shop dust, the cute lady in the french maid outfit to dust has been difficult to find...

Now get out there and have a good weekend plowing snow with your "shovel monkey", and with a bit of luck making a buck to two!
