That doesn't even make sense.

"Salty twidget" was a compliment seeing as I know j.martin has done the most honorable thing a man in this country can do and serve the worlds finest navy. Hopefully he'll be back to shed some light on the term.

Then you contradicted what he said. Is that an honor too? In that case you have honored quite a few of us.

Maybe go back and read it again? Sometimes the mil humor is easily lost amongst civvys...

Salty twidget = term of endearment to one that has served in the Navy in an electronics/topsider rate. I believe mr.martin mentioned in a post that he was an ET in the navy. Thank you for your service.

I said I should consult him before doing wiring because they are trained far beyond what we would ever need to know to repair the wiring in our trucks and he would clearly know better than I.

Are we all squared away here?

installed a 2nd gen bench seat. been going back and forth about 40/20/40 seats or a bench. my little 03 truck has the 40/20/40 seats and while comfortable, they're bulky and they have less seat space than a full bench. We're usually packing 2 adults and a 70 lb pit so the bench won this war.
dont judge me, i know the truck needs a cleaning.

Fonder, nice job despite the bracket butchery.
I will be happy to post screenshots of your missing 1" if you like.

Drove 250 miles round trip to pick up a dirtbike.
It's a 2005 Honda CRF250R with a KX500 motor in it.

Funny thing was the seller who I had never met or knew had a driveway full of Dodge trucks. What looked like a couple year old Cummins with Aussie stacks and a new Ecoboost.

Would of loved to stay and chat but was running late and had to leave as soon as pink was signed.

Looks like a nice, clean, barely used seat. Good score !
Question is, how does it feel ?

It feels like new, don't know why the guy pulled it out. It has a little more form to it than just a straight bench and I like the headrests. I never had headrests for my stock bench. It's more of a firm cushion feel than the bouncy stock bench. I'm pleased with it.

When I had my reg cab 93, I put buckets with headrests in them.

Reality is that they're not for resting. They're for when you are sitting at a light and someone hits you from behind. Instead of your head smashing the rear window, and wiplashing your neck, you hit the headrest / head stopperfromhittingtheglass adaption.....

Good luck with your new assumption....

they seem to work pretty well as a head rest while cruising down the highway, but I'll keep that in mind. Sure hope I don't have to use them for the njtman approved intended purpose.

Unfortunately, I was able to try out this on one or two occasions. Both time were stupid people texting... Luckily not traveling too fast...

I've been considering the same thing. I have found in the last couple years I don't like the 2nd Gen 40/20/40 anymore....as Justin stated there is less seat room.

Have been thinking of going back to a bench, or finding a set of individual, or larger buckets and a small console from ???

Fabricated a work station this week so that when I need to make something for the dodge, it will / can be done a lot faster. Besides, I get to organize my little shop in the meantime.

First was the wall cubbies for placing "stuff". Gotta love George Carlin, eh ?
