Checked out that link and all your pics, T. That is so cool. You have a good gig. Hard work it looks like, back breaking, especially your wife's duties.
I'm with Jim Layne as far as snow, except it does snow more frequent here than it does in Southern CA. I actually have a running, lifer, bet with my wife. Every time I tell her it's gonna snow tonight she doubts me, and if it snows, she's going to have to fry chicken. We never have fried chicken, so it would be a treat.
When it does snow, 4" max where I'm at at 2,000 ft. Above sea level. Melts off in a couple days. Just enough to look pretty. What I've always wondered, is why, just before it starts to come down, does it get so quiet. No birds chirping, geese honking or flying around, just dead quiet. Then it starts to flake down. Weird

Just before a snow event, my bird feeders will empty at about twice normal rate.

Took the truck to the oral surgeon to have a drilling for an implant- yuk! Anyways, upon parking the truck and looking under the hood, noticed some white ish discoloration on the face of my fluid damper and some around the outer edge. It's like the look of what happens to galvanized sheet that's stacked, and moisture had gotten in between the sheets. Scaly like. Tried wiping some off, but it wouldn't wipe. ThrashingCows, has yours dis colored at all over time. I'm thinking something may have passed thru the intercooler, radiator, etc. while driving down the road, maybe? Doesn't coolant leaks form to some white ish scale upon dryness?

Baaaaam solid day in the shop! Removed/resealed/replaced gear cover, replaced supply and return lines for power steering, and replaced both rear wheel cylinders. Just need to find a helper to get brakes bled and I'll be good to go for driving to work Monday.
On a side note, I noticed ice gone 12k miles since my last oil change. Not sure how that happened. Oil change and fuel filter going in tomorrow.

Greased up the brick's suspension in front, washed it, and waiting for the 60* F week coming up.

Built an angle iron bracket for a pair of 12" electric fans I'm going to be tossing on the crewcab. I'm planning on only running the electric fans through the fall/winter and early spring. Still have to pull the fan and shroud so I can make some brackets to mount it the same way as the stock shroud.
