What did you do to your Gen 1 today?
Been a while since I posted any updates. Huge progress made yesterday! WARNING: Picture heavy post. Not safe for women and children of any age.
I don't think you guys will complain any.
I whipped up a new length of stainless tubing for the rear of the coolant bypass. I bent the tubing a few more degrees than the previous piece and was able to suck it in closer to the head; giving even more clearance from the firewall and about 1/8" from the back of the head. Looks better running along above the exhaust flanges as well.

Drilled and tapped the front volute of the exhaust manifold to ultimately hook up a drive pressure gauge.

"Gentlemen, rest your sphincters!"
We have touch down!!

Lotsa room! Probably could've done without my fancy body work after all.

The beastly NV5600 got a new fork pivot ball and HD throwout bearing. All greased up per South Bend's recommendations.

Believe it or not, I managed to get all of that done in less than 12 hours. Along with wrestling the transmission into place.
Should move along quite smoothly from here!

Yesterday, I took "Poncho" my '91.0 out for a nice ride up the Toll Road to the top of Stowe MT /Mount Mansfield.
I brought my girlfriend and Uma, one of my pups, and we went for a hike along the ridge on the top of the MT. It is the highest point in VT.
Nice little break from work and it was pretty up there on the MT.
It is so different from in the winter when we are up there more often snowboarding / skiing.
NJTman has a few pictures he might just post for you guys that love pictures.
Thanks T-man!
I also got a tiny bit of work done on the Gauntlet RC project today as it was raining here.

Well so far today I have installed my Pusher Intake system, now I am about to tear into the front end to replace the inner axle seals that I should have replaced back in January when I did the rest of the front end which have now decided to leak..
Finally finished the Hydroboost conversion on my truck. I read every thread on the internet I could find...many thanks (in no particular order) to j.fonder, tcows, thechoolyman, jd370, cmcr0703, and prob a few others I've probably forgotten. I wound up using an eBay HB unit from a 94 2500 Suburban, I got the HB unit, master and all the lines for a tick over a hunnert bux. Unfortunately in the end none of the suburban lines would work so I had to purchase those lines extra. I wound up using a pump to HB line for a 94 2500 p/u with a 6.5 diesel and a HB to steering box line for a 86 c20 with a 6.2. All the lines needed some tweaking/fiddling to get to fit but no real big deal. Initial impression will echo what everyone else who's done the swap says, should have done this AGES ago! Total bill including fluids and some hardware pieces (to mate the two pedal rods together) came in at right around $160. Sorry, no pics of the job as I was to engrossed in the job and wanted to get it done as quickly as possible.

I've got a '86 CUCV with HB and a 6.2 joke under the hood. Think I'll strip it all off before disposing of the truck later this year.
Our brakes leave lots to be desired in stock configuration. I remember that truck could lock up 36" BFGs no problem if you stomped on it.
Well after installing new hitch assembly, now the factory spare tire holder don't fit.....which I always hated any way...so I decided to change to something more user friendly . much nicer setup
