nother stupid question (turbo)

nother stupid question (turbo)

do i need any gaskets for the 16cm turbo install? thinking of bidding on teh new one on ebay but i notice it doesnt havent any gaskets with it. if the price gets close to the PDR price i will just buy from them along with the other items i need to buy.

Yes you will need to get the gasket that goes where turbine housing mounts to the manifold. I got one from Cummins in December ..... I think it was only $2.

I'd suggest pulling the turbo to do the swap, it's much easier on bench. That means you'll need the oil return gasket as well as the turbo to manifold gasket. Once you unbolt the housing, it's only 2 bolts, 2 clamps, and a compression fitting to have the whole turbo in your hands. I was thinking of bidding on that housing myself just to get a spare one cheap. I don't really need the thing so I won't wait up to snipe you.
