My truck rocks

When I bought my truck the radio did not work. So, after trouble shooting all the electrical I bought a radio. A good unit with CD and 50w per channel. I then had sound. The drivers door speaker was working but was blown. The pass door speaker did not work at all. The two speakers behind the seat worked but did not like the power of the new head unit. There is a wholesale guy local that has 400w 6X9's for $22 and 300w 4X10's for $30. I put these in and I can turn it up and still sound good. I still have to admit I turn it down to hear the CTD run. Nothing can beat that.

Yep, I rarely listen to the stereo in mine. As long as it's not raining, the back window is open, too.

I just bought a stereo for mine but haven’t installed it yet.
Maybe I should take it back and use the money towards my stacks.

i'll be honest, I do prefer the singing of the turbo to Bob Seger, but sometimes I just got to have the music...

I'm kind of partial to drowning out the road noise with the radio personally.

Now that I got my amp and subwoofer, I can finally do that with all the vents and windows open at 80 miles an hour.

Get on the freeway at night, wrap it up, through on the music, turn your gauge lights off and sail...

I actually rarely have the radio turned on in my truck. I enjoy listening to the CTD, especially with the HTT Stage IV

Yeah there's nothing better than the back window open with the stack singing it's song. My friends seem to think otherwise though.

I recently just installed a pioneer CD player in mine, after taking it out of my '93 gasser. 4th truck that radio's been in. I also have a 250 watt amp behind the seat, and two pioneer 6.5" rounds mounted in a box behind the seat, as my truck does not have door speakers. Not loud by any means, but enought o hear when you want to. The wiring running from the amp to the speaker box are extra long, so you can actually take the box out of the truck and set it on the roof so you can hear the radio out in the driveway.

I have this wierd problem now that when you step on the brake, i get static feedback though the speakers. Just another thing........
