ip questions

new to forum just purchased 93 w250 cc auto ctd has leak on bottum of ip wondering if pretty staight forward for reseal from sticky or is worth paying the 600plus for shop to do

You can almost get a brand new pump for $600, so I would not take it to the shop.

If it's from the timing piston cover, it's very easy once the pump is out of the truck. Two screws, nothing will fly apart. That will usually drip from about the middle of the bottom of the case. If the leak seems to be from between the case and distributor head, you may want professional help.

leaking out weep hole on bottm of pump allso want to do 366 spring and fuel pin is that safe to run without gauges

If it's just a play truck it'll be OK. Don't hook a trailer to it with that setup until you get a pyrometer on there.

Leave the fuel pin until you get gauges then. The spring won't hurt anything.
