questions questons questions

So I have been reading some posts on here and I have some questions. Here is my truck : 08 ram 2500 4dr/lb 6.7ltr turbo cummins, only mod to engine is a AFE intake. Ok so how do I get rid of my dpf and not effect my warranty? And is that why I feel lag at times as I'm driving? And what is this thing about the jake brake and leaving it on all the time is that just for city or both highway and city and wouldn't leaving it on decrease mileage or is it an auto vs. manual thing?

Simple answer, as far as Chrysler is concerned, you cannot remove the DPF and not affect your warranty. You may find a dealer willing to work with, or overlook certain things, but if push comes to shove, your warranty may come under question. Notice I didnt say void, I said question.

On a stock truck running the exhaust brake all the time will keep the slider nozzle in the VGT from sooting up. It should have little effect on fuel economy.

Welcome to the DTR!

It is fine to run the EB 24/7.

What type of lag. Like lag in the turbo spooling. If so that can only be fixed by swapping turbos for a different one.

not sure if thats what it is or not but it only happens when im giving it gas to get going while moving and its a surge, it feels like a gas engine starting to run out of fuel. the dealership told me it was because it is a manual
