IP on the move (or not)
Well, while digging around my basement i found a 13/14mm snap-on s-wrench. I was able to loosen all three IP bolts. Then i loossened the 10mm bolt thats underneath. So it doesn't budge, what do i need to do.
Would fuel milage improve ro get worse. I heard it might better it

its not budging because the fuel lines act as a spring and hold it in place where it is. I forget who it is but someone came up with the idea to use a ratchet strap and it seems to work quite well. Yes advancing the timing is suppose to give you better mileage

i moved mine about 1/8", better throttle response and different sound but not much improvement on mileage. i didnt expect to much improvment on 20-22 mpg now though .

yes it could be done with a rubber mallet but sometimes the pump just wants to spring back when you use that method and its hard to hold it by yourself to tighten the bolts like that if it tries to spring back. I ratchet strap just allows you another hand

Is it ok to put the lines under a torsional load or should they be cracked loose and then be retightened.
Exactly where do i run/hook the strap as to not destroy it.

Advance timing- move pump towards the head.

Knew this would come in handy
Check the mark on the pump and the timing case---this is all located by the flange bolt that's easy to get to
edit--I've got some of my own scrawl on there...there should be 1 mark on the pump and one on the case--separate those marks by 1/8''
