HTT Stage IV how-to and impressions
After much reading about this topic (till 3 AM) I'll be ordering the same thing. I'll get the gauges, and while I have everything apart will drill and tap the hole on the exhaust manifold for EGT assembly and readings.
The sound file on the video sold me. I didn’t think the sound of a turbo would help effect my decision. Just hope I can bust them darn nuts loose.
Best Regards
Tom

Mine has a BHAF... for now
Well, I bought the IV and 16cm turbine housing and installed it in my truck. I can hear the turbo now. Just one thing... I dont hear it wind down like in the video. (that was a very cool effect that I was looking forward to) Could this because I have stock exhaust? Also, the truck runs a little warmer, but it does seem to run smoother. I think Its pushing air and needs more fuel. I havnt adjusted the "full fuel screw".
Thanks all for your help, Its been very usefull.

Do you have the stock muffler as well? That will dampen just about all cool noises that come from the engine. More air is always good, but you'll never take advantage of the potential untill you throw more fuel at the program
Hello G1625S,
I crack up every time I see your truck zooming in the moniker box! LOL... that’s just too sweet.
Yes, I most likely have the stock muffler. That might be my next move (to get a better exhaust arrangement) Cant Wait, but am torn between the much-needed pyrometer and boost gauges. What comes first?
Gauges...
...or Exhaust Upgrade? Hmmmm....
Today for the first time I took a 13mm wrench and screw driver and did a little adjusting to the fuel pump and gave it about a turn. The truck is more responsive and moves faster with less throttle. With just a small adjustment. That combined with an upgraded turbo is like driving a different rig! I think she likes it!

That will solve your problem.. at least until you start the 4" craving
