Bump timing and HTT stage IV?

Hey guys, how much of an improvement would it be if i bumped the timing 1/8 and put on a HTT stage IV?

here is what the truck currently has: pump mods: full power screw in about 1 and a half turns (too intimidated to take off the lock collar, afraid im gonna lose the stock setting when i do) starwheel 1 turn from bottomed and smoke screw in 2 turns. 14 cm wastegated housing, bully dog fuel pin, and bully dog injectors, and a built tranny.

1st, how much power am i pushing now? and how much of a gain would i feel if i were to do an HTT stage IV and bump the timing?

also, what next after that?

The timing should wake it up pretty good, you have enough fuel that more timing will help a good bit.

Don't waste money on a Stage IV, it is not $85 better than a Stage III. Get a Stage III.

After that, turn the pump up until the EGT's scare you.

It's hard to say where you are power-wise. What kind of EGT are you seeing now?

Ditto on calling Gillett Diesel Service. Talk to Steve and he'll hook you up. Great customer service.

Aloha,
Matt

Look in the sticky for info on bumping the timing.

The easiest way to get the lock collar off is to take out the fuel screw so you can get at the thing. Then you can pry it off with a small screwdriver.

The HTT and Gillett upgrades are the same parts. You won't get more boost, you're wastegated.

The "S" wrench makes it look easy.

Ok, guys. i think im gonna do a water/meth system. should i leave the timing alone then? i heard i could blow a head gasket with w/m and timing advanced? also, its a play truck and i want to build the kit myself seeing it can be had for 250. Since its a play truck/ DD should i go with a hobbs switch or another kind?? whats the price difference between the two? also, how hard is this kit to install?

With those injectors you have enough fuel to need more timing. I would bump it at least 1/8".

If you want it to feel like somebody kicked you in the butt, get a hobbs switch and save money. If you want it to feel smooth, go progressive.

You did not mention if you have a 3200 gov spring, best $16 I have ever spend. Bang for the buck its been the best improvement so far.

NO, i dont have the 3200 spring installed yet. will the DIY dual stage water/meth be a better kit for 250, than this kit for 199? How much power will either of these kits add? should i do this or the compressor wheel kit first?
thanks
