Fuel pin- what's the plastic washer for?

Ok,

Here it goes- I put the Denny-T pin in my truck. And... the washer is on my tool box still. What is it's purpose and do I need it?

I drove it and there is much nicer power. You can really feel the lag-miester turbo kick in. But more fuel the rest of the time makes it more peppy. Now, to get rid of the lag... and add boost.

No, you dont need it. It limits how far the pin travels, so if the washer is in then you may not get to the peak power level of your fuel pin. Leave it out

Thanks Guys..

I was worried about pushing too far on the pin-causing some side load on the pump piece.

On some trucks removing the washer will cause the pin to go too deep so you wind up reducing the fueling at full boost. Check your wear mark to make sure this isn't happening on your truck.

what dave said, i tried it without the washer and my pin traveled to far. so i put it back in and observed the wear marks. then i shaved it down a little to get full travel.

The washer is for the trash can, hah!

Where can one find a stock fuel pin? I wanna have at least two pins, one thats chopped for fun and the other stock so I can swap in and out depending on my driving plans.

I still have mine in. When I did my 3200 gsk I shaved mine down the .90 that it said in the sticky but have never checked the wear mark. I would check the wear mark then measure the washer and remove or cut down to get the full use of the pin.
