Thumbs up Finnaly filled up and found out my mpg.

I drove the truck like i stole it for an entire tank. All takeoffs were very heavy, if not full throttle. Most stops were fast. About 60% of the driving was stop and go around town, the rest was 80-85mph highway. I dont think i drove it a full mile without at least one full throttle run.

I did this for both fun and as a test. I wanted to see worst case numbers, so from here its only going to get better.

The end result was just a hair over 18.5mpg. Really not too bad at all considering how hard i drove it. I am willing to bet if i drive nice i will get at least 20mpg around town. Maybe better on the highway if i keep it at 65 max.

Those are really good numbers, especially for the way you are dumping fuel in there

If I get 13-15 i'm lucky. My foot is way to heavy and I love that 0-50 stomp
I can get much better on trips, but during the normal back and forth to work and driving around town it's low.

My best so far is 19.3, reached only once. It's usuallly around 17-18. In the fall when the fuel around here has all that added EPA junk, the truck got 15.8 towing a car trailer, and 15.3 with a long Chrysler van on it. At least it's consistent!

I'm gonna get 20 outta that truck if it's the last thing I do!

Just did a 2400 mile road trip. Mostly drove 75, sometimes 70. Passed a lot of RV's on 2 lane. 16.94mpg avg.

I just hauled a horse over to Nevada Mo yesterday and took the BOSS with me. We dropped off the horse and drove up to KC to visit the Nebraska Furniture Mart store.
Spent about 8 hours driving and covered about 450 miles, pulling my 26 foot gooseneck, tho it was empty about half the trip. Used 22 gallons of fuel ( filled up when we left and again when we got back)......20.45MPG
I am HAPPY ..... however the truck did start makeing a strange noise on the way back.. see other thread..

Well, I rarely go over 65 -70 mph while I have the trailer hooked up, and it was in MO, so half of it was downhill........
