I weighed my truck finnaly, its HEAVY!
Its just a plain 350 4x4 with a plow mount on front and it weighed in at 6840# with it empty, nothing in the bed, no passanger, and low fuel light on. I know the plow weighs another 400# so thats over 7200 total. Closer to 7500 with me and fuel in it.
I just cant believe this thing is so heavy empty. I guess it doesnt matter as long as it has power to move it.

I weighed mine it at 6540, empty, with me in it and 1/4 tank of fuel. The bracketry for the blow mount wasn't in stalled at the time though. The plow and all its bracketery weigh in about 750lbs according to the manual. I'm surprised you weighed that much more than me. I figured the extended cab would have added alot more weight then DRW, not to mention my DMI out back.
as of right now last time i was weighed it was right at 6000. but i am in the process of makin a weight rack for the front end (for sled pulling only) after that with weights i am hoping to get around 7500 to 8000.

Something is not right there.....you won't find a 2WD RC CTD under 5000 lbs.....I have a 3500 which is the same configuration as your truck other than the fact that it is a dually and it weighs 7700 lbs empty...my 94 RC even weighs 6680 lbs....

1st gens are the lightest of the CTD's. I wouldn't trust the dump or farm scales too much, I'd pay the $8 and put it on a Cat scale at a truck stop if you wanted it dead on. I went to the scrap yard the other day and empty weight 1/2 tank was 5940, seemed light to me.
