If you are still using one with 6" of lift, then you have already adressed the mounting location issues. Unless the crossover actually comes in contact with it, you can leave it. However, swaybars really limit flex offroad. I used somw quick disconnects on mine for a while, and eventually removed it all together.

Running swaybars on an off roader is like ordering a supersize whopper meal and diet coke. Kinda mutually exclusive, concept-wise.

i uderstand the whole limiting flex thing, i run a cherokee that is 8 inches over stock. it has diconnects on the antisway though. my truck doesnt have a bar, po took it off when he lifted it.thats why i was aking if anybody had one to get rid of. i like the stability factor on-road and dont mind having to get out and disconnect, already gotta lock it in.

When I put on my lift I took off the sway bar. I think it feels loose especially when hitting bumps it seems to wobble side to side. I may try hooking it back up and see what it does.

Front swaybars were optional on 4x4's, standard on 2wd's.

"Rear" swaybar fixed that loose feeling for me. Added one to the front as well. Truck turns pretty flat and the back end stays put now, especially with a little weight in the bed. Here's how I adapted a 2nd gen rear bar:

I don't think crossover steering is going to work with the front bar, tho....

Just picked up a new to me 98 dodge 4x4 it does have a Don Thuren 3rd gen track bar, and carli suspension end links. Not sure if I have the crossover steering. I do have a long bar that goes from the pitman arm on the driver side to the passenger side where i believe it connects to the bar the turns the wheels. is that what we are referring to thanks ED

Get rid of it if you are going on some hard core trails!! Crossover steering with a Dana 60 is simple and the only way to wheel!! My 1980 Powerwagon loves it...
