Question crossover steering

I was thinking about doing this to my '93. Has anyone done this before? What all is needed to do this? Thanks for any responses.

I looked into to doing this on my 93..most of the shops that advertise in the magazine's for x-over steering will sell you the stuff that you need. You will also have to re-position the steering box on the side of the frame..moving it into the 2wd position and not using the bracket that it now sit's on...Not to hard of a job to do.

I have done this to my Ramcharger trail truck, you also need to box the frame and sleeve the bolt holes. When you go from stock push-pull steering to crossover it changes the direction of the stress on the frame 90 degrees, the stress goes from running the length of the frame to the side of the frame(much weaker).

In my opinion it is not necessary unless you have some suspension lift(4 or more inches usually) that is causing bumpsteer. With the crossover it lessens the draglink angle on a lifted truck and will lessen the bumpsteer.

I love my crossover steering setup. I would never go back to the stock junk.
