Crewcab update...
What this did was lower my brake pedal and cause my brake lights to stay on.
When you plumb the system with the steering gear return feeding the branch of the tee, it raises the back pressure on the hydroboost return line, and causes the booster to apply slightly without any pedal input.
I am very surprised that you did not have trouble on your trip with dragging brakes.
And slightly apply your brakes.

Wouldn't it be the other way around? If the HB return was feeding into the branch of the tee with the steering gear return, then the HB back pressure would be higher? In my mind there would be less back pressure with a straight line shot to the reservoir?
No I had no issues with the brakes at all. Nice and cool...I check tires, lights and hub temps at every stop...I'm a trucker so it's just habit.
Did a 1000+ mile trip to PG and back...pics and story here...

Back again...sort of....
Little Update since I have been away from the board for a about a month now.
We made the move to PG and I have been crazy busy getting set-up here on the new property.
I have been using Patches for what it was built for on the property...hauling brush, material and equipment. Thank goodness I did the 4wd conversion since I have had to use it just cruising about the property.
I will be going down to the coast with my daughter soon. She needs to see the orthodontist, and I will be grabbing Snoball to haul it back up.
All pics and stuff on are on the old computer hard drive, so will have to get those moved over to my new Mac.
Will update a bit more when I have time.

I'm glad you are doing well, and enjoying your new place. Moving is not much fun, and as I recall you have had a couple of places to clear out and take care of . . . But it sounds like you are getting over the hump!
Somehow I missed this back in May . . . But the volume of fluid through the PS gear is much greater than that through the booster. If that high flow enters the branch of the tee, it will want to go out each end of the trunk with roughly equal pressure. If it enters the trunk, it will want to go straight through the tee out the other end of the trunk. In some situations, this will even have a small venturi effect and draw slightly on the branch of the tee. . .
Not sure that you care at this point. It seems like your hydroboost is working well, regardless.

Good to hear all is well in PG . Man I wish I could convince the wife to move away from this rat race on the coast .
