Question a couple ??'s

well i just did my pads up front and the truck is pulling pretty hard to the right when i brake? i have a new master cylinder? what can i do to get it to quit... it just happend after i put the new pads on? and also me and my buddy 91.5 beater just got done puttin a new vp44 on his 99 and he researched all the cummins pumps and told me he thinks mine is after market... he says all the stock ones are silver and the after market 1's are painted black. his on his old 91.5 was silver?? ..mines black? is this true? just curious?

Make sure the calipers are free to slide.

The original pump was painted along with the engine - so it is black. Your truck has the original pump. There was a safety recall on '91.5 and '92 pumps so a lot of those trucks got new pumps.

cleaned the brakes and made sure everything on the right side was good.... still pulling not as bad but still a little??!! hmmmmmm should i bleed them?

check your front ujoints in the axle, look for disorted rubber in the caps, and see if the caps are moving,(seized needles in the bearings), that might be an issue as well. Does it do it in 4 wheel drive?

Well, What I usally go by is, if it pulls to the right, the problem usally lies on the left side... visa/versa if the prob is on the left... Could be a bad line, bad caliper, Or even a bad master cylinder!!

i know the calipers are worn and about to need replaced but im almost positive its not time yet.... master cylinder is brand new... all the lines look new!?

when you hit the brakes does it pull then straighten out? or keep pulling as long as you are braking?
if it pulls then straightens out, replace your brake hoses in the front(they are restricted).
if it keeps pulling, you either contaminated the pads(oil, grease etc.) or its time for calipers.

well it rained real good yesterday and i wan sloshin the the puddles to clean my rims and it somehow cured my brake pulling problem.... wierd?
