Click click click click
Yup. Click click click coming from the drivers front wheel area. Follows wheel speed. Goes away if I put a little pressure on the brakes.
First thought it was an axle joint, but it doesn't wiggle and appears well greased. Then I took the ring that engages when you lock in hubs (dont know what it is called) out and greased the heck out of the insides.
Still has the clicking.
While I had the front tire off the ground I wiggled and pulled and spun.... no clicking (this was AFTER the greasing of the hub) The tire stays rock solid. No play anywhere I can find.
Anyone have a clue what this might be?
Thanks
Mark
PS. Its a 93 LE auto 4x4

Sounds like the brake pads are slipping back and forth in the caliper. My snowplow does the same thing. They make a "membrane" that can be applied to the piston and it kinda sticks to the back of the brake pad and retracts it when the piston retracts.

Clicky,Clicky,Clicky. Theres a bomb under the hood ready to go off. All you can do to stop it is to get out the check book and buy a set of DDP stage 4's, An HTT 62/13, o-rings and head studs. Then the Clicky, Clicky will quiet down a little.

LOL
FIRST.... Three piece manifold. Mine seems to have shrunk.
THEN.... Build me a tranny that doesn't slip to the moon.
MAYBE.... Some stacks, turbo, fuel....

LMAO!!! I haven't had this truck for 1 month yet! This is what she looked like after I yanked the running boards, the factory steelies (with caps/rings) and tossed on some of my uncles 'spare' tires.
I dont think she'll go anywhere. Gave 7200 for her. Really clean IMHO (factory EVERYTHING in cab and it all works) LOADED LE. (first tranny cooler I have ever seen factory that was under the bed)
There is only a few quirks she has that I need to fix for my sanity.
Looks like it will be Sunday before I can have a look @ the brakes. HOPEFULLY it will be simple.
Thanks again
Mark
