What did yall do for a/c when you swapped in the intercooler. I know the condenser has to be swapped. What bout a/c lines, compressor, etc? Any of this need to be swapped as well?

I just moved the condenser back a few inches and installed it behind the Powerstroke IC when I did mine.

You were already intercooled though right? Nonintercooled trucks such as mine have a much wider condenser. I should mount the condenser in front of the intercooler but not sure if the lines will reach.

well im not sure if 91 changed any a/c stuff, but on my 90 i kept the a/c condensor in the same spot and put the intercooler over it, which probably doesn't help the a/c but oh well.

It's nice to know that Rad, condensor, intercooler is an option, as opposed to the stock setup, putting the condensor out front, reducing heat dissipation of the intercooler when running the AC.

I think rather than buying all new stuff up front and trying to hack it all in, Im just gonna do intercooler in a bottle now. Found an awesome controller thats digital and adjustable on the fly.

From what Bill gilbert told me, there is mountains of torque waiting to be opened up when you put in an intercooler. It should fit without too many issues. I had it fiugred out for my 91, but that is a different grille style and all.

Remember, digital= electronic. Bad idea, IMO. Guaranteed failure at the most inopportune moment.

True but I think this one works the same as the boost controller I had before, only know instead of ***** it has buttons? I like the idea of it because I want one I can set for watching egts when towing and daily driving, then boost activated for around town and for the strip. As for the intercooler, Im not sure the condenser would work as the lines going to this one would be in the way and wouldnt be long enough to squeeze an intercooler in the middle anyways. Still gonna do some figuring and measuring, but its looking like a lot of money, and to tell the truth, Im kinda turned away from swaps for a while after this tranny swap budget gone wrong.

I put the Powerstroke IC in up front of the condenser a few months ago and have not noticed any adverse affect on th A/C performance driving it all summer so far. Worked it fairly hard on some good grades up in the Black Hills last month and did not see any loss of A/C capacity whatsoever.
