Crank... Crank... Click-click-click...
I was looking forward for the weekend to finally get to play with the truck. Its not exactly hot outside, so after work tonight, ran grid heaters once and cranked. It almost fired, and then I let it off too early. Heated again, and - crank, crank, click, click
Stretched the extension cord all the way across the street to the truck, plugged in. Then, decided to check the block heater with the meter just in case... open circuit
I guess I will be playing with the truck after all. Just not in the way I was hoping... in daylight will inspect the bateries, looks like I will need new ones. And check the heater, whassup with that! Bummer.

Quite possibly the cord. They say that the wires a couple inches back from the male plug will break, where the grill hits it.
Toss the charger on the batteries. Unless you are in -20C weather, should fire up with out a block heater, although it won't like it.

You're right. Cord broken 2" from the plug. Was apparently already fixed using crimps, and broke out of the crimps now. The temps are -2C, and I don't have a charger, so I plan to try jump starting it from my Kia Spectra once fix the cord. Will take a picture and embarass myself. But it should be good fun

P.S. The batteries are Walmart Everstarts 1000CA, yellow case. No labels on the top as to how old they are, so I may just replace them anyway. I saw many people like Optimas, but I have not looked around to see who has them and for how much.
