How important is it to adjust the valves on these trucks? What clearence do you want adn where measure?

this is in the sticky as well i beleive, just have a good set of feeler gauges

it's very easy.I thought after 280,000kms that they would be really out of wack,but to my surprise I only "really" had to adjust 3 or 4 valve's.

0.10 intake 0.20 on exhaust start on tdc with timing pin ,you can do #1 both valves #2 intake, #3 exh, #4 intake, #5 ehx, then put a mark on pulley rotate engine 360 degrees then you can adjust the rest, #2 ehx, #3 in, #4 ehx, #5 in, both on #6

I just adjusted mine and must say it was one of the easiest jobs I've tackled in a while. Seems to run a bit smoother.
