Added fuel & boost Won't idle down

Well I finally got around to doing the 16cm housing and installing my gauges. The truck was better but not great. I gained 3lbs of boost with just the housing, so it wasn't too bad, not to mention it would spool almost immediatly (sp?). So I decided since I drove it for a night and got some baseline numbers with the slight pump mods I would go more on the screw and star wheel and ditch the washer on the pin. WOW!!! This thing is freakin awsome!!! I got over 31lbs of boost and it will break the duals loose on the pavement Well now onto my problem I was trying to get it to idle down and it won't. I don't have a tach but I am guessing its idleing at about 1000rpm's. I don't mind but it gets old in town and towing and backing will be a PITA. How can I get it to idle down more I backed the low idle screw out till it wasn't touching the lever but what do I do from there?
Thanks,
DS79

Try adjusting your throttle linkage. Turn it where it'll back both ends outward to increase its length and see if the lever will touch the idle adjustment then. There has been some instances where it couldn't idle even with adjustments and the fuel screw had to be turn back just a tad.

Reindex the throttle counter clockwise one notch. You will need to adjust the high idle and you will be able to turn the fuel screw in even further. Then it will idle down to where you like it.

Now I recall Pastor Bob instructing me to do so on a truck I worked on a few years back. My bad.

So once I do the 3200K spring I should move the lever one notch to the front or one notch to the back of the truck? I need to do that spring soon just so I have all my parts in it and can keep turning the screw until I can't go anymore. So if I take off the throttle linkage and just let the pump thttole free it should show me if I am first off going to gain anything from adjusting it, and second if I have more RPM's hidden in the linkage. I will have to try this sometime this week cause I nned to haul a truck down to IL this week.

reindexing the throttle lever and playing with the linkage(move the ball from the outside to the inside hole on the lever) will get lots of travel. I don't have any adjustment screws left. The throttle has full movement. Try it, you'll like it.

I moved my " ball" to the inside hole too. Worked good and I too have full travel. I removed my high idle screw and have fuel up to 3100 with a stock spring.
