Fuel Gelled & added 911 - am I OK now?

Got to -5F or so. Truck started right up. Made it about 2 miles when it started cutting out & then died. I knew right away what it was, so I pulled the fuel filter, poured in 1/2 bottle of 911 & other half in the tank. After waiting five minites, started it up with no problems. Could not believe how good the 911 works. Filled up fuel tank and drove 20 miles and all seems good. Is the new fuel & 911 that was mixed with the 1/4 tank going to adequately winterize my fuel? It's supposed to get to subzero again tonight & truck is going to be parked outside. I will plug in this time but know that this does not heat up the fuel. Does letting the truck idle for ten minutes help warm up the fuel?

As in the other thread, I think your on the right track and with be good as well.

Another one I like is Kleen-Flo if you can find it. Something makes me think it's a Cdn. product and may not be very hard to find stateside though.

10 minutes, Not likely...Small heater BIG tank!

I would pick up some Power Service (white bottle) from Wally World & add a quart, just to be safe.

Sounds like we have consensus here! Already got the stuff, just got to dump it in. I did not want to 'overtreat'.

I was told the other day by Kevin @ " BUSINESS LINK' that there is a serious problem with gelling of the "ULSD" ... so add some kind of anti-gel and keep a bottle of 911 in the truck just in case...

DO NOT USE 911 EXCEPT IN AN EMERGENCY ...using it too often can damage...
THUS THE "911" NAME... Hammer Down !,Flip
