100psi Boost & Fuel or 60psi Boost & 30psi Fuel???

I am thinking I am going to take out my Autometer Cobalt Gauges and replace them with the Di-Pricol ones so that all 5 match (a pet peeve of mine) since Autometer doesn't make a Cobalt rail pressure gauge. Should I upgrade to a 100psi Boost gauge? I plan on doing some custom twins but don't know if I am ever likely to see those kind of pressures.

Also, my fuel pressure is often above 30 and beyond the scale (usually in the low 40s I would guess) and wanted to know if it makes sense to go to a 100 psi gauge. If they made a 60 I woudl get it, but 100 seems awfully high for fuel pressure and I am worried that because the gauge goes so high, I won't notice low fuel prsssures instinctively because the needle will always be so low on the gauge whereas on a 30psi gauge, it normally is really high.

Any thoughts?

D.,

Keep resolution in mind: Are they 3/4 sweep gauges? Do they start at 0 and go up to 100? Or are they 1/4 sweep that start at, say 30, then go up to 100?

They are full 270* or 3/4 sweep. It's just the reolution or scale as you said. The 30psi fuel would be far more telling unless I got up around 50-60psi regularly.

I would get the 100 p.s.i. gauges in 3/4 sweep. I think you need 100 p.s.i. boost, so you might as well get the 100 p.s.i. fuel pressure to match.

Digital gauges? You could use the regular ones as well, because I think they look better, but the digital ones have alarms so you know when problems occur. Something like the Quadzilla Commander or something similar.

I think you are probably right. With the way I have ben modding this truck, I will be looking for a 150psi gauge soon enough!
