2nd Gen Rear Sway Bar on a 1st Gen
I use to have a 2002 Quad Cab Cummins w/the Camper special option which had the heavy duty factory rear sway bar on it.
I was wondering if anyone has adapted the 2nd Gen rear sway bar to their 1st Gen ? I'm planning on adding it to my Crew Conversion as it really made corning sweet on my ol 02.
Just wondering if someone had and if they would post pics and any snags they ran into. Thanx.....

May I suggest you guys also look into a Panhard Rod for your suspension? Usually a fairly easy DIY fabrication plus they're often found at dismantlers under some of the GM pickups. They can make a tremendous difference in handling, preventing the axle from shifting from side to side in turns.

Hi Thanks for the info. Good idea.
I prefer the stocker setup my 2nd gen had. Should bolt right up with few mods. I was impressed how well it worked on my 2nd gen and figured same axle and similar frame it shouldn't be that hard of an inexpensive upgrade.
Just thought someone that had used the 2nd gen axle w/disc brake conversion would've added the swaybar too ? If that unit had had one on it? and thought they might share ?

The Summit link shows its for a D250.
Was at the moparpartsoverstock site and saw the 01/02 2nd gen set up breakdown. Doesn't look to hard to adapt except the shock brackets look like the swaybar mounting point and I think their welded to the axle.
So I was at the upullit and found a 86 f250 4x4 rearswaybar I think would adapt. They only want $27.00
So I'll snap some pics n see what ya'all think

I didn't suggest, 'Hey, just do a Panhard rod, same thing...'
