Your truck will be an invaluable tool to help you understand and apply many of the core ME principals you'll be learning over the next couple of years. So little attention is given to the practical applications of what they teach its a wonder some of these kids even know what a screw driver is.
I see so many super book smart 4.0 gpa having, EIT stamped, fresh out of school ME's that can't troubleshoot their way out of a paper bag unless it's in the form of a paragraph with accompanying diagrams.
If I had a nickel for every time I've had to explain the principals of "righty tighty, lefty loosy" to a grown man with an advanced engineering degree I'd be typing this from my private island just off the coast of my other private island.
Good on ya for taking steps to not be that guy.
PS: Pay attention in thermo!! Trust me. The next 3 years will hurt if you don't.
