Rebuilt p-pump prices?

I just got my truck back from mass diesel and they found that the power problems and bad fuel mileage have to do with a bad lift pump (pressure dips to 15 or lower under load) and the injectin pump needs to be recailbrated.
I got a quote of 650 to take the pump off, calibrate it, reinstall and re-time it.
How much do reman p-pumps go for? Like something from BD or Piers thats been gutted and rebuilt as a performance pump?
My stock pump is a 160hp one and Im assuming the others like the 175 and 215 are the same except calibrated for more fuel. So Im wondering if it might make more sense to take the chance to upgrade the pump and switch my mods over to the new one. Should I look for a 300hp pump or is that way overkill? Im going to be upgrading the transmission in a month or two.

Hm.. I see they have 400hp performance pumps for 2500$. What exactly is the difference between the pumps? Just the amount of fuel theyre calibrated for?

So when a pump is listed as a 400hp pump, Im assuming thats what it would put out if bolted to the stock truck?
Might be worth going to a 215 reman if so

I recently got a quote of $800-$1000 from New England Diesel in CT to recal the pump and turn it up... And I had to take it off and bring it to him!

columbus diesel did mine, $1300 and that was with a new case, 4k kit and I sent it to them. I was told that with a set of DV's it would out flow a Stoopid pump from Piers.

I saw a remanufactured pump I think on Bully Dogs website. 300 hp with a 3k spring kit installed in it for $1425. If I recall correctly stock pumps were $1100.

I've seen reman P7100's on ebay for $650. I was told by a tech that works for a diesel shop in my area that he would cal mine for $175 if I bring it to him.

Somebody explain to me how a pump can be called a 400HP pump. The 215 on my 96 was at 410 HP, and that was mild as compared to what I could have gotten. These HP numbers have me really confused. I wonder if it's just a selling point.

I have a 94 now at 400 HP on a 160 pump. I don't get it.

Just something with the rating, we'll probably never understand. Probably supposed to mock the 300/370-calibrated pumps, but is tuned up a bit. You know, a pump that would put out X HP on a stock engine, but tuned a little more. That's my only guess. It would supposedly put out 400 HP on a stock engine.
