where to get rebuilt pump

a few wweks ago i posted "runs poorly with blue smoke". i got some help and thought that the problem was fixed. however it is slowly coming back. i am rapidly losing top end power, getting much more low-end black smoke, top end blue smoke, surging at part throttle.

a week ago it seem like it was only running on 3 cylinders (barely running) but that only lasted for a minute and then cleared up. so, i didn't worry about it. figured air in the lines or something. then it wouldn't shut off. figured shut of solenoid was sticking (still didn't worry too much).

the problems are varied and getting worse, but sometimes, there's nothing wrong at all. does this sound like the pump announincing its retirement?

where's the best (cheapest) place to get one?

Before you throw an injection pump at it, I suggest you throw a lift pump at it or check the fuel pressure if you have the tools to do that.

I would put a small piece clear plastic tube between the tank and the lift pump....and maybe one after the lift pump and run it till its clear and then let is set for awhile, have a buddy start it up and se if you get any air in it or just drive it with the clear line on it, tell it acks up and raise the hood and see if you getting air in at the time it's acting up!!

You may need an inj pump but it would suck if you replace the inj put just to find that it was an air leak!
