I did mine without the pin. Found TDC and went from there, But I had it at TDC with the head off. Just remove the #1 injector and find TDC and go from there.

Both. If you watch your boost guage it will be less due to the area the intake air is now running through but it will be cooler which makes it feel stronger.

I would say your best bet is to go to a junk yard...

I would say your best bet is to go to a junk yard and get a bolt on tunnel from a 70's dodge lay it out and cut a big hole in the floor. That way you can remove the whole section if service is needed.

From what I understand they are not avail any more. I know someone who did one about 7 years ago but it didn't come with the drip rail flange.
