I run 3.54 gears with 38-39" tires. I start in 1st and it is a fairly useful gear now...not just a granny gear. 5th gear is great for 65+ mph. I tow in 4th which is maybe a little stronger.

I wish I had a 1.5 gear to start in and a 4.5 gear for long hills without a trailer.

I will probably be going to 3.73 gears soon ( with a 2003 factory disc brake 14-bolt ), and I have my eye out for an early model close ratio 6-spd. I think that would be a really nice combo overall.....

Wow a "W" in the fleet. Looks good Brandon. Get or build a rear air ride like the kelderman system and put a set of bags up front and it will feel like a car. I have some pics of my old set up if you need plus Faith may still have my rear set up lying around unless she put it in already.

It's still around. I'm too weak and puny to wrestle that thing under the truck by myself and I can't bring any outside help into the shop I have set up at work. I'll probably wind up having a spring shop do the heavy work.

You get everything needed bring it all up and I'm sure I can get some people to help install it. I could probably even take it down to the dealership and use the lift. I bet we could get it done in about 4 hours

I've got about 6000 miles on my 285's and they make a little more noise then they did when new. Getting readt for my first rotation I've been told by a few guys rotating about every 6 or 7 thousand miles is very important with these other wise they tend to chop a little.

Make/buy longer shackles and spring hangers for the front. I have the same size tire, though I'm sure the offset is different, but I only rub if I articulate a lot. I believe Jungle on RCC makes kits that are well priced, plus if you're springs up front are like mine, they hit the stops if you hit a large bump. the lift made the truck ride SOOO much better! You could also just get new springs I spose. Don't forget the driveshaft MAY need to be lengthened, alignment performed, and the shocks MAY be too short. Good excuse to get all that stuff done tho if you have the cash.

Sorry that was really long

my front springs are only 5 years old, they are sky jacker 2.5" springs. they have 5 or 6 leafs i can't remember.

I'm thinking about some shackles up front and put like 35 psi in the bags out back all the time and that'd be like having a 4" lift pretty much

I'm sayin it's lifted 2" all around right now because of the front leaf springs and the add-a-leaf out back.
