Where to cut the hole?
Getting ready to swap out the auto for a nv4500 in my 1992 w250.
Does anyone have the dimensions of the shifter hole location?
And also the size of the hole?
Thanks in advance.

sounds like you found your parts, when i changed from the getrag, i still cut a little to the rear, and welded it back up front, i measured off the rear block mating surface to get the hole location, measured the trans and bell housing to center the shifter, ill give the number later today.

I would say your best bet is to go to a junk yard and get a bolt on tunnel from a 70's dodge lay it out and cut a big hole in the floor. That way you can remove the whole section if service is needed.

measuring mine from the heater floor vent to the shifter center is 9-1/2", from the drivers side top ledge of the trans tunnel its 4" to shifter center, the hole is at 2" from that edge, begining of hole at front is 7-1/2", but you need to figure what shift boot your going to use, stock, b&m, aftermarket, youll need more rear cutout, as you install mating to engine, allowing pilot shaft clearance of 3-1/2" for clutch.
