Both the throwout bearing and the pilot bearing are NOT spinning when the clutch is engaged. They would make noise with the clutch disengaged if they were bad, that's with the peddle down.

If it makes noise with the clutch OUT then it's not the throwout bearing. Possibly the input bearing on the transmission. Gurus, what's the bearing in there that's suspect to failure?

I have a chance for a free set. But I'm not sure of how they will work on the 2wd. They are about an inch shorter I believe. So my rpms would be up at cruising speed. Thoughts?
